What means double-permission in tiCrypt VMs?

A new VM is similar to a new local machine; hence, double-permission means your VM is both access-controlled and cryptographic.

To access your VM, you must convince the system that:

  • You have the SHA-256 encrypted key to access the VM resource.
  • You have permission to connect to the encrypted hard drive of the appropriate VM.
note
  • tiCrypt access control enforces a mechanism for compliance.
  • You can never get access to a key unless specifically given; everything is in the audit logs.

Super-admins can control the access, but they cannot give you a VM resource key.
